Circle Name: Soul Weaving 

Circle Domain: Creating and coordinating on-line and in-person Sunday services, and activities scheduled immediately after the service in conjunction with a service, including specifying payment of use-fees and honorariums for speakers, music, videos, etc. Liaison to the Friends Quaker community, including building requests and scheduling event/meetings.

Circle Mission:  Soul Weaving provides uplifting, spiritual worship services with a nourishing, joyful focus. We strive to offer a service from which congregants may draw insights applicable to their own lives, and also reflect upon the needs of others. Through our UU Principles, world religions, and diversity of lived stories, we will facilitate spiritual and intellectual growth, feeding us to work together for a better future. 

Circle Aims: 

  • Provide weekly services, both onsite (multi-platform or “hybrid”) services and those on  Zoom, from September through June
  • Promote a welcoming, caring community among our members, both online and onsite
  • Utilize a wide variety of speakers including UU Ministers, people from our own congregation, local community leaders, and non-profit representatives
  • Highlight diverse participants as lay leaders, readers, chalice lighters, and musicians, while maintaining a coherent whole
  • Choose a variety of in-service music from both the UU tradition and other world influences, following UU copyright and payment guidelines.
  • Balance and be relevant to a variety of religious, spiritual, and humanist beliefs
