On May 2, 16 INUUC members joined over 200 others at the Spokane Alliance and Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium’s powerful and productive Housing Assembly. Mayor Brown heard testimony from a broad base of leaders about our vision for bringing equitable affordable housing to our city. After hearing our testimony, the Mayor committed to releasing the 1590 funds through a public, transparent, and timely process. In recognition of our leadership on this issue, she also proposed renaming the housing levy funds in honor of the Spokane Alliance “HEART” team!
