Sunday Service With Friends

INUUC Joins Spokane Friends for Sunday Worship—

Join the Spokane Friends at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19 to sing along with INUUC’s Music Circle and SFC’s Music Team and hear a message about “Love in Action” by Clark Pomerleau. The Friends will share the upbeat songs, “Rooted and Grounded in Love” and “God is Good,” with us while INUUC introduces our rousing “Lean on Me” to the Friends. Drawing on UU Christian sources, Clark will share how embracing universalism by taking “God is Love” seriously frees us to listen to where our values lead us to work for a better world now.

Clark A. Pomerleau is on INUUC’s Soul Weaving Circle and serves as the Spokane Friends’ office administrator. He attends both congregations with his husband, Samuel. Clark grew up in Spokane before a career as a professor of social justice, gender, and religious history. In 2020, Clark returned to Spokane to help his parents and has been grateful to be able to stay and build community here. He and Samuel enjoy music together, time with their human children and granddaughters, and caring for their three black cats.
