In the 1980s, Eric K. Ward, a community organizer doing field research on the far right, began infiltrating white nationalist groups in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest. His career as a researcher and activist led to 30 years on the road establishing human rights task forces and organizing for immigrant rights. Further, Eric’s belief in the power of music to advance democracy has compelled him to work with musicians to create new narratives that dismantle political and social divisions.
