Each year at the June annual meeting, the congregation votes on the slate of new members for the Governing Circle and Leadership Development Circle. This year we are seeking 5 candidates for the Governing Circle, and 3 for the Leadership Development Circle.
The recruitment for these positions Is currently in process and should be completed by the end of April. Below is the criteria we use when considering a candidate. If you wish to be considered for a position, contact Linda Moulder at leadershipdevelopment@inuuc.org.
Criteria for Governing Circle Candidates
- Member of the congregation for at least 1 year
- Experience in nonprofit entities
- Knowledge about and/or willingness to learn about Dynamic Governance
- Works well in a team
- Has 10 hours a month to contribute to the GC
- Willing to work outside of meeting time
- Regularly participates in INUUC events, meetings, trainings, Sunday services, etc.
- Possess good listening and communication skills
- Knowledgeable about Unitarian Universalism
- Available to serve a two-year term
- Works within a Shared Ministry Model
- Enjoys big picture thinking, and policy and procedure creation
Criteria for Leadership Development Circle Candidates
- Knowledge about and/or willingness to learn about Dynamic Governance
- Works well in a team
- Has 5 hours a month to contribute to the LDC
- Willing to work outside of meeting time
- Possess good listening and communication skills
- Knowledgeable about Unitarian Universalism
- Available to serve a one-year term
- Works within a Shared Ministry Model
- Regularly participates in meetings, trainings, orientations, events, etc. sponsored by the LDC
- Competent facilitator
- Comfortable recruiting volunteers
- Skilled in identifying, supporting and evaluation of volunteer positions
