How INUUC Works

INUUC is a shared, interconnected community we build together. There are many ways to take part, and you can choose what fits your interests, time, and experience.

  • Congregation — Provides the ultimate authority from which the rest of the organization grows.
  • Connection — People stay connected through shared membership, communication, and participation in different circles and teams.
  • Governing Circle — Helps establish the structures, policies, resources, and stewardship necessary for the congregation to function.
  • Coordinating Circle — Helps people and groups work together.
  • Leadership Development Circle — Helps people grow their leadership skills.

Our Circles and Teams

INUUC’s circles and teams fall broadly into two groups. Programmatic circles carry out the ministries, activities, and community life of the congregation. They are represented in the Coordinating Circle, where they share information, collaborate, and coordinate their work. Administrative circles support the governance, finances, personnel, and institutional responsibilities of INUUC. They connect directly with the Governing Circle.

INUUC is a volunteer-powered congregation. The programs we offer, the community we nurture, and the decisions we make all depend upon the participation of our members and friends. Contributing can take many forms, and we encourage everyone to find a role that fits their interests, abilities, and availability.
