Governing Circle January Town Hall and Listening Session

Your Governing Circle and Spokane Alliance Circle invite you to our January Town Hall. We are offering two sessions to be more available to more people. There will be one on Sunday, January 23, 4–5:30 p.m., hopefully in person at Westminister UCC. If omicron is still raging, we will offer it on Zoom. The second one will be January 27, 6:30–8 p.m. on Zoom.

We will consider two issues:

1. How do the proposed Mission and Vision support why you are at INUUC? Do you consent to this Mission and Vision adoption for one year, at which time we will revisit it?

Proposed Vision:
INUUC envisions a welcoming congregation that is joyfully intergenerational, multicultural and a trusted partner in creating islands of wholeness in the Inland Northwest.

Proposed Mission:
In covenant with one another, we are an intergenerational, progressive, and radically inclusive congregation living in harmony with the Earth. We are a spiritual community practicing active hope and deep listening while engaging with the wider community to achieve equity and environmental justice and to give future generations a chance for a fulfilling life.

2. Assuming we, as a congregation, can accomplish 2–3 goals between July 2022 and June 2023, what should they be?

If you are unable to attend either town hall, you may submit your responses to these questions in an email to gc@inuuc.org. We would like to hear from all members.
