From Faith Action Network:

Dear Spokane area advocates,

I am so excited to be advocating alongside you all this legislative session. This short 2024 legislative session begins on Monday, January 8 and will conclude March 7. We have a full legislative agenda and we want to make sure legislators know what we care about early on!Please save the date and join us on January 16, 2024 from 10–11a.m. for a postcard writing event at Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ (411 S. Washington St. Spokane, WA).  We will gather and discuss issues of concern for our communities and the corresponding legislation followed by writing postcards to our legislators sharing those priorities. There will also be some time to discuss FAN’s legislative agenda and more ways to advocate.Come join your neighbors of faith and conscience in writing postcards to your legislators—our voices really do make a difference! If you plan to attend please email me (Brianna) so we can plan accordingly. Also, don’t forget to register for the Eastern Washington Legislative Conference on January 27 and Interfaith Advocacy Day on February 8.If you can’t make it to Olympia we may still be able to schedule a virtual meeting with a legislator from your district, please email me if this is something you would be interested in.

Wishing you a happy new year!
In peace and solidarity,
