What Is Buddhist Mindfulness?

Dr. Gloria Chien, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Gonzaga University, will present concepts of mindfulness based on several Buddhist texts. She will also clarify how Buddhist mindfulness does not concern stress reduction, as is often assumed.

Inspired by her research on the Tibetan Buddhist lojong (mind training) tradition, Gloria (I-Ling) Chien became a certified instructor in the Cognitively-Based Compassion Training contemplation program developed at Emory University.
