In this service, we’ll hear how LaRae Wiley and Chris Parkin became fluent in the endangered Colville-Okanagan language and how the Salish School came to be.

LaRae Wiley is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. She is one of the founders and the Executive Director of Salish School of Spokane. Chris Parkin is the Principal at Salish School of Spokane and the developer of the Salish School of Spokane Language Curriculum. LaRae and Chris have been married for 37 years and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren who all attend Salish School of Spokane.
