In this service, Kate Burke, Executive Director of River City Youth, will share how mentorship, outdoor exploration, and paid internships are helping young people in Spokane discover confidence, leadership, and purpose. Through stories shared directly by youth in River City Youth programs, we will reflect on how opportunity and consistent community support can cultivate hope in the lives of young people. These stories remind us that when youth are trusted, supported, and given meaningful responsibility, they not only grow themselves but help grow hope for the entire community.

Kate Burke is the Executive Director of River City Youth, where she leads programs supporting youth ages 6 to 18 through mentorship, Bike Bus, Outdoor Adventures, and paid youth agriculture internships.
