Public Dollars for Public Benefits
Passes Spokane City Council
The Spokane City Council, on August 25th, passed the Spokane Alliance Public Dollars for Public Benefits Ordinance in a 4-3 vote, before a contingent of 8 INUUC members and many friends from Westminster UCC and our labor brothers and sisters from the Alliance.
As you recall this ordinance will create family supporting jobs in public works projects, invest our tax dollars in local workers and contractors, and open training and employment doors for under-represented communities.
Thanks for supporting this important Spokane Alliance action and for supporting the Alliance through our membership.
