How We Turn Fear and Anger Into Actions by Listening

Join us at Rockwood Community Center or on Zoom
with Ian Sullivan, Executive Director of Odyssey Youth Movement

Ian Sullivan will share Spokane-area LGBTQ+ youths’ experiences and how folks support them. Our LGBTQ+ young people, especially Trans and Gender Diverse loved ones, are targets of malicious politics. When we ask how they feel, how these times affect them, and what they need from us, we can plan how we turn fear and anger into actions.

Ian Sullivan (he/him) is the Executive Director of Odyssey Youth Movement, Spokane’s LGBTQ+ youth and young adult organization. He has more than fifteen years of experience in youth work and peer mentoring. Ian’s experience includes facilitation of the Junior High Our Whole Lives program and work as the Education Manager at Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho where he oversaw the implementation of evidence-based and peer education programs throughout Central & Eastern Washington. Ian continues to stay active in the South Perry Neighborhood Association, the same neighborhood that Odyssey calls home, as well as serving on several community boards including SAN: Spokane AIDS Network and the Blue Door Theater.
