2026 Annual Congregational Meeting

Dear friends,

This email serves as formal notice of the 2026 Annual Congregational Meeting of the Inland Northwest Unitarian Universalist Community.

The meeting will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Spokane Friends Meeting House, 1612 W. Dalke Ave., Spokane, and on Zoom.

Attached you will find the materials for this year’s annual meeting, including:

This year’s meeting includes several important items for congregational consideration and vote, including:

  • Approval of the proposed 2026–2027 budget
  • Election of Governing Circle members
  • Proposed bylaw amendments
  • A vote on becoming an official UUA LGBTQ+ Welcoming Congregation
  • Authorization to enter into a two-year agreement with Spokane Friends
  • A resolution regarding the ordination of Rev. Cheryl Flaim

Members are expected to review the attached materials in advance so that discussion during the meeting itself may remain focused and concise.

All are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting. Under the INUUC Bylaws, voting is limited to members who have held membership for at least sixty (60) days prior to the meeting.

In addition to congregational business, the meeting will also include recognition of volunteers and leaders who have helped sustain and grow this community over the past year, as well as a presentation from Spokane Alliance.

This year’s annual report marks INUUC’s fifth anniversary as a congregation — an important milestone made possible by the care, labor, generosity, and vision of this community. Thank you for being part of that shared work.

We look forward to gathering together on June 14.
