Join us at the Rockwood Center or on Zoom

When much of what we have known or expected In life falls apart or disappears, what sustains us? Crises come in many forms. Life guarantees they will come. Everywhere, in most people’s lives, the magnitude of changes these days is just overwhelming. When we cannot see the future, where do we begin?

Bob Stilger and Susan Virnig co-founded a nonprofit 50 (!) years ago and the four nonprofits that grew out of it are still working hard to improve the lives of people and communities today. Bob went on to found the nonprofit NewStories, which now works in the US and around the world. He and Susan have done work in Japan to facilitate conversations after the Triple Disasters. They have recently volunteered their services for the community of the Lahaina Jodo Mission, a Buddhist temple which burnt to the ground in the fires last August.
