During our service last June 2, Making a Difference Through INUUC Social Action, the congregation determined that our church could improve our social action impact by forming a Social Action Council. We will have our inaugural meeting of this new Council on Wednesday, October 23, 6–7:30 p.m. via Zoom. If you want a link to attend, please contact Mary Lou Johnson or Linda Moulder.
The Council will be composed of representatives from the Spokane Alliance Team, the Nonprofit Spotlighting Team, the newly formed Joy and Justice Team, PJALS Advocate, FAN Advocate, LGBTQ+ Team, OWL, and any individuals who are involved in social action and want to have INUUC support. The Council will meet in the fall to coordinate INUUC Social Action for the year, and meet again in late February to prepare the annual budget request. It may meet other times as needed. We hope this new structure will improve the communication and activities of Social Action at INUUC.
